AC Shadows Reveals Surprising AoT Event for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected partnership that challenges traditional expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Revealed
According to the formal release, "An unusual confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and monstrous changes resonate through the obscurity." The plot features a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden group.
The mission focuses on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome foe" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Changes
The teaser features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Additional Material
Players who finish the mission will obtain an exclusive katana together with several artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-inspired outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe

Newest Free Story Content
This update also adds the game's newest no-cost story addition, titled "A Puzzlement." This playful adventure teams Naoe and Yasuke as they trade distinctive skills: Naoe reveals a performative variation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns subduing stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "The Mystery" also contains a original environmental puzzle that may finally shed light on some unanswered questions from the main storyline.

The series earlier featured a 2020 collaborative story uniting Assassin's Creed: Valhalla with Makoto Yukimura's Vinland Saga.
