Amazing $30 Cartography Humble Bundle Represents a Virtual Tabletop Game Master's Fantasy
Following a brief run earlier this year, this cartography software collection has returned for a limited time available until Dec. 2. Hailed as an extensive collection of mapping tools developed by a specialized software company over the years, the entire collection carries a value of more than thirteen hundred dollars. Additionally, there exist three different bundles available here.
The Main Attraction
The big draw is definitely a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard cartography program that can be used to create everything from epic fantasy landscapes, smaller regional maps, city maps, and most notably, tactical combat environments.
A regional fantasy map created using Campaign Cartographer 3+.
Package Levels
Entry Level
The most affordable option, starting at just one dollar, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Source Maps: Castles!, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts with 470 associated map tokens, eight complete urban centers, plus seventy-plus building interiors.
Intermediate Package
The eight-item bundle starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting through inclusion of permanent CC3+ access, the first Annual volume, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the yearly bundle from ProFantasy's long-running monthly subscription service featuring a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and additional utilities. The Isometric Cities enables display cities with an extra dimension using angled views from all sides. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions for the map-making process.
Complete Collection
For a minimum of $30, the 39-item bundle contains these components:
- Fractal Terrains 3+
- Dungeon Creation Tool
- Urban Planning Software
- Cosmographer 3
- Perspectives 3
- Scene Builder
- Character Artist 3
- Symbol Set 2: Fantasy Floorplans
- Contemporary Design Pack

- Monster Token Collection 2
- Religious Structure Maps
- World War 2 Interactive Atlas

- Annual Volumes 1-17
- Campaign Cartographer 3+ (Lifetime License)
- 3D City Symbols
- Tome of Ultimate Mapping
- Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland
- Token Treasury: Monsters 1
- Fortress Source Maps
- Metropolitan Source Maps
All 17 volumes from the Annual series are included here, plus numerous other resource and asset packs that can help users design entire planets or galaxies, or just go all-in on traditional fantasy world-building: combat arenas, dungeons, urban centers, and land masses in multiple viewpoints. Users can also create character portraits. For $30 as opposed to $15, the full bundle offers tremendous value, particularly for mappers who have only the annual CC3+ license and want to upgrade to lifetime. However, it's clearly more advantageous for cartography beginners since it includes introductory guides to help you get started. The one caveat here though the purchase is available across platforms, the applications only function with Windows systems.
Philanthropic Aspect
As with other Humble Bundles, part of every purchase goes to benefit a nonprofit. In this instance, the beneficiary is Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response. The Bundle Filters option appear near the page top, but you can also select their donation amount on the right side of the page. There's also an "Adjust Donation" drop-down immediately below, enabling adjustment of the distribution percentage allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
